About Angola

The Association of Small Animals of Angola (ASAVA) is a professional organization founded by 11 veterinarians in 2024, with the desire to change the landscape of companion animal veterinary medicine in Angola.
Its objectives are to promote the health and welfare of animals, improve standards of veterinary practice, provide continuing education to its members and encourage scientific research in the field of veterinary medicine. The association also plays a crucial role in defending the interests of Angolan veterinarians and raising public awareness of the importance of animal health.
What we want:
– Education: Provide Angolan veterinarians with more training in the area of companion animals
– Social responsibility: Zoonoses, particularly rabies, are a reality in Angola, being one of the crucial points of action
– Prepare for the future: Working with populations, especially children, to better care for pets
